Shout Factory recently released restored 4K versions of the classic 80’s and 90’s Hong Kong action films by John Woo, Tsui Hark and company. Well worth diving into if you’ve never seen them; over-the-top melodrama and balletic gunfight scenes make these so much fun to watch. The best are Woo’s classic team-ups with the coolest superstar of 90’s cinema, Chow Yun-Fat: A Better Tomorrow, The Killer, and Hard Boiled. Not to be be missed!
